Meet the MDG West Virginia Team!

Christine A. Richards

President

During the 18 years that Ms. Richards has been with MDG Companies, she has held a variety of positions that have encompassed construction and development of office buildings and condominiums, marketing, leasing, and long range planning activities associated primarily with the commercial side of real estate development.  While MDG of West Virginia will continue to promote residential development, their additional focus will be to explore commercial and retail possibilities in the County.

Chris will also continue to spend part of her time as the Senior Vice President of Project Development at the Columbia, Maryland corporate headquarters of MDG Companies overseeing development projects in both Maryland and Ohio.

Prior to joining MDG Companies, Chris earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Purdue University and a Master’s Degree from Loyola College of Maryland.  She and her family own a home in Section V of Cacapon South.

Justin J. Cowles

Director of Project Development

With a solid background in general construction, Justin oversees the development and construction of all MDG of West Virginia projects.  Since his family has been associated with the construction business for many years in Morgan County, Justin brought a wealth of experience with him when he joined MDG six years ago.

While serving a two year stint in the Peace Corp in the Kingdom of Tonga, Justin taught courses in building construction and participated in community development activities.

He is a Certified Building Inspector, a licensed WV General Contractor and a certified WV inspector of onsite wastewater and water supply systems.  Justin received his undergraduate degree from Berea College and his Master’s Degree from Duquesne University’s Center for Social and Public Policy.

A. Elaine Clark

Director of Administration

Elaine is a lifelong resident of Berkeley Springs and has a deep love for and knowledge of the surrounding areas.  Elaine began her career with MDG Companies of WV in 2004 and became a licensed realtor shortly thereafter.

She left MDG in 2007 to pursue a fulltime real estate career, but when MDG decided to outsource their real estate activities through the Berkeley Realty Group in early 2008, she used her affiliation with Berkeley to return as the exclusive listing and selling agent for all MDG of WV properties.

In addition to her realty activities, Elaine also works three to four days a week as the Administrative Manager of MDG’s West Virginia office in Cacapon South.  She is always available at 304-671-4918 to answer inquiries and provide sales and community information.

Enos Ray

Director of Field Operations

Enos joined MDG several years ago after completing 32 years of service with Mack Truck in Hagerstown, MD. A man of many talents, Enos is responsible for the upkeep and grounds maintenance of MDG’s properties.  He oversees the lawn mowing and snow removal, removes fallen trees, marks property lines, ensures that all signs are in proper position, and does whatever needs to be done to keep the communities looking their best.

His humorous personality is contagious and his relationship with property owners is stellar.  Everyone associated with MDG is thrilled that Enos spends his “retirement” working in our communities.
