Section V

Over half of the 31 lots in Section V have already been sold.  The remaining lots range in size from 0.8 to 2.5 acres, many with views of the Cacapon Mountains or overlooking Indian Run stream and they are priced to sell!!! Access to these lots is via Oakland Road off WV 522 approximately ¼ mile past the main entrance to Cacapon South.

These lots are connected to the state-of-the-art sewer system that serves the other sections of Cacapon South so without the need for a septic field each lot has more buildable area.  Section V comprises its own Property Owners Association. Click here for more information about the sewer system.

Cacapon Woods

Cacapon Woods at Cacapon South is an enclave of four secluded 3+ acre wooded homesites that are accessed through the main entrance of Cacapon South. If you are looking for privacy, Cacapon Woods is the perfect location.  Indian Run stream meanders along the front of the lots to add ambience to your woodland location. 

Indian Run Village

Within Cacapon South is a group of 13 homesites that form Indian Run Village at Cacapon South. These homesites feature the unique “Pedestal Homes” that are designed and engineered to be built in environmentally sensitive areas such as the lowland areas adjacent to Indian Run stream.  Since the foundation is a pedestal, less site disturbance is necessary thereby reducing the amount of run off and erosion in the area.

Five of the homes have been completed and sold.  They can be purchased as a shell for the “handyman” to complete the interior, or our builders can completely finish the interior to your specifications.

The pedestals are stick built in a controlled environment in Ohio and feature post and beam construction with vaulted ceilings supported by Douglas fir timbers. The exterior treatment is vertical fir siding with cedar trim and a large window wall for enjoying the scenic view from the great room.

Oakland Overlook

Twelve one half acre lots comprise the area of Cacapon South known as Oakland Overlook named after its location at the corner of Oakland Road and Route 522 adjacent to Section V.  Priced in the $50’s, these lots will appeal to individuals and builders who need an accessible and convenient site on which to build homes in the moderately priced range but not necessarily of the cookie cutter variety.

MDG is in talks with a local builder who hopes to incorporate “green” aspects into the home construction plans he’s evaluating for Oakland Overlook.   The community has access to the Cacapon South sewer system so there is no need to use valuable land for a septic field; only a well is required.
